Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Los Angeles indie-pop project delivers a brilliantly cynical, sample-heavy sophomore album that found enormous viral success years after its initial release. The record utilizes obscure 1960s soul and pop vocal loops, pairing them with driving hip-hop beats and Brad Petering's deadpan, hyper-sarcastic lyricism detailing disastrous romance and hedonism. It is a highly infectious, woozy staple of modern internet-pop culture.
