Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Brooklyn band's fifth studio effort marks their first release following the tragic passing of bassist Gerard Smith. The music surprisingly pivots away from the dense, abrasive art-rock of their past toward incredibly bright, upbeat, and accessible synthesizer-driven pop. Despite the underlying grief, the lyricism and soaring melodies focus heavily on themes of profound optimism and emotional resilience.
