Eclipse

Album Notes & Community Reviews

In a deliberate bid for mainstream pop accessibility, George Lewis Jr.'s major-label debut scales up his introspective 1980s-inspired aesthetics into arena-sized anthems. 'Eclipse' polishes the lo-fi grit of his earlier work, replacing it with massive, reverberating drum programming and soaring vocal hooks. The thematic focus remains fixed on intense romantic turmoil and sensual yearning, updated with sleek, contemporary R&B production gloss.
