Album Notes & Community Reviews

The third album by Boston-based Mike Langlie largely sets aside the toy pianos of his earlier records for twenty-one collages assembled almost entirely from samples of vinyl children's records from the 1940s through the 1970s. Langlie spent a year digitising his collection on a Califone schoolhouse record player and another slicing it in SoundEdit 16 and ReCycle, building the dialogue of 'Grandmother Meets the Wolf' from more than a dozen unrelated story records.
