Album Notes & Community Reviews

The fiercely prolific California rocker delivers a fascinating subversion of his signature garage-rock sound by recording an entire album without utilizing any traditional guitars. Instead, the heavy fuzz and driving riffs are generated using dual drum kits, bouzoukis, kotos, synthesizers, and mandolins. It is a wildly inventive, highly percussive exercise that retains all of his trademark psychedelic energy.
