Harmonizer
by Ty Segall
Surprise-released after being recorded at his newly constructed home studio (Harmonizer Studios), the prolific Californian rocker injected a surprisingly heavy dose of analog synthesizers into his signature fuzz-rock sound. Co-produced with Cooper Crain, the tight, rhythmically driven album leans into synth-punk aesthetics while maintaining his ferocious guitar work and psychedelic pop hooks. It served as a fresh, modernized update to his extensive garage rock discography.
