Album Notes & Community Reviews
Acting as a transitional work, 'Cherry Bomb' is defined by a chaotic and dichotomous sound, contrasting abrasive, rock-influenced tracks with heavily distorted mixing against lush, jazz and soul-inflected arrangements. Entirely produced by Tyler, the Creator, the album serves as a showcase for his evolving musical ambitions, incorporating live orchestration and a wide array of guest artists like Kali Uchis and Charlie Wilson, while lyrically shifting from his earlier transgressive content toward themes of love and self-discovery.
