Album Notes & Community Reviews
Underoath's second album, recorded with vocalist Dallas Taylor, stretches five lengthy tracks across melodic black metal and metalcore, with spoken and sung passages interrupting blast-driven sections. Its Christian lyric themes and near-ten-minute closer mark the Tampa band's move away from their death metal origins before a wholesale reinvention.
