Album Notes & Community Reviews
On 'Multi-Love', frontman Ruban Nielson expands the band's psychedelic roots with dense layers of synthesizers, funk, and R&B, creating a more polished and futuristic soundscape. The songwriting, almost entirely self-produced and engineered by Nielson, directly chronicles his experience in a polyamorous relationship, candidly exploring the associated euphoria and eventual emotional exhaustion. This fusion of a uniquely personal, existential theme with a sophisticated, genre-blending production secured the album's status as a critical and commercial breakthrough for the project.
