Album Notes & Community Reviews
Recorded with Steve Albini, this pivotal release captures the Chicago trio transitioning from their noisy post-punk roots into the swaggering, cinematic alternative rock that would define their later mainstream success. 'Supersonic Storybook' perfectly balances abrasive guitar tones with highly melodic, hook-driven songwriting and a distinctly wry, lounge-lizard aesthetic.
