Equator

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Embracing the heavily synthesized production trends of the mid-80s, the veteran hard rock ensemble pivoted sharply towards radio-friendly album-oriented rock. 'Equator' features Peter Goalby's soaring vocals atop polished, keyboard-driven arrangements, seeking to replicate the massive commercial success of acts like Foreigner or Journey. While it performed reasonably well in European markets, the slick commercial shift proved divisive among the band's traditional heavy prog fanbase.
