Album Notes & Community Reviews

Following the turbulent dismissal of long-time dramatic frontman David Byron, the British hard rock veterans introduce vocalist John Lawton, shifting towards a slightly more straightforward, melodic sound. The album successfully revitalized their commercial standing in Europe while retaining their signature Hammond organ-driven heaviness and mystical lyrical themes. It marks the beginning of a stabilized, highly productive era for the group.
