Born to Sing: No Plan B

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Serving as his thirty-fourth studio album, the legendary Northern Irish songwriter returns to original material after a four-year gap focused largely on live recordings. Co-produced with Don Was and released on the prestigious Blue Note imprint, the record prominently features lush, brass-heavy jazz and soul arrangements. The lyrical content is notably cynical, heavily criticizing global capitalism, materialism, and the contemporary economic crisis.
