Album Notes & Community Reviews

Continuing his mid-career exploration of esoteric spirituality, Morrison delivered an expansive album featuring several lengthy, atmospheric instrumental compositions. The record extensively incorporates Uilleann pipes, lush synthesizer washes, and backing choirs, anticipating the Celtic new-age boom of the following decade. Despite alienating portions of his blues-rock audience, it remains a serene, deeply personal musical statement.
