Album Notes & Community Reviews
Released through the prestigious classical label Deutsche Grammophon, this highly challenging work sees the famed synthesizer composer abandoning melodic structure entirely. 'Invisible Connections' utilizes vast stretches of silence punctuated by jarring, atonal synthesizer clangs, metallic percussion, and highly abstract electroacoustic textures. The severely minimalist, avant-garde approach alienated many traditional fans but firmly demonstrated his capacity for rigorous academic composition.
