Album Notes & Community Reviews

Making their debut on Sub Pop Records, the San Francisco folk-rock ensemble fronted by Andy Cabic delivers a warm, breezy collection of pastoral pop songs. Moving slightly away from the esoteric freak-folk of their earlier work, the production highlights tight vocal harmonies and sunny, 1970s-inspired California rock arrangements. The record features notable contributions from longtime collaborator Devendra Banhart.
