Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded in a remarkably short span of time, the prolific Georgia songwriter's tenth studio album features delicate guitar contributions from Bill Frisell and prominent arrangements by Van Dyke Parks. The collection strips back the abrasive edges of his previous outings, leaning heavily into atmospheric, dark country storytelling and deeply resonant acoustic balladry.
