Album Notes & Community Reviews
Released shortly before his tragic death, this album showcases the beloved Athens, Georgia songwriter in a remarkably intimate, stripped-down setting. Produced by Jonathan Richman, the recording features incredibly sparse acoustic instrumentation, emphasizing Chesnutt's fragile, deeply moving vocal delivery and darkly poetic lyricism. It is a profoundly moving, quiet masterpiece of modern American folk.
