Album Notes & Community Reviews

Nikolaus Harnoncourt's first New Year Concert, recorded live at the Musikverein, brought a historically informed sensibility to the Strauss family repertoire, and he returned to conduct the event again in 2003. The programme closed with the traditional encores 'The Blue Danube' and the 'Radetzky March'.
