Album Notes & Community Reviews

Garnering near-universal critical acclaim, this album completely redefined the capabilities of the modern piano jazz trio. The group executes mind-bending, asymmetric polyrhythms and complex harmonic structures with seemingly effortless groove, tackling both brilliant original compositions and radically deconstructed covers of M.I.A. and Stevie Wonder. It established Iyer as a premier, visionary composer within the 21st-century jazz landscape.
