Album Notes & Community Reviews
Marking his official debut on Def Jam, this mixtape is a dark, aggressive, and lyrically dense project that solidified Vince Staples' status as a critical darling. 'Shyne Coldchain II' features bleak, hard-hitting production and some of Staples' most incisive and introspective storytelling to date, exploring the cyclical violence and nihilism of his environment. It's a somber and powerful work that directly paved the way for his acclaimed debut album.
