Album Notes & Community Reviews

The eccentric Italian cantautore deepens his theatrical, highly literary approach to songwriting on this lushly orchestrated fifth album. 'Canzoni a manovella' seamlessly blends traditional Mediterranean folk elements with cabaret jazz and Tom Waits-esque blues atmospheres. The arrangements are deeply evocative, perfectly complementing his gravelly voice and poetic tales of mechanical organs, circus performers, and maritime mythology.
