Album Notes & Community Reviews

Returning from a brief hiatus, the Milwaukee acoustic-punk pioneers delivered a strikingly bare and cynical fourth studio album. Stripping away the expanded instrumentation of their previous two efforts, '3' closely mirrors the stark, anxious acoustic trio format of their legendary debut. Gordon Gano’s songwriting remains sharply sarcastic, tackling themes of alienation and bizarre social observations with jittery energy.
