Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded during her extended stay in France, 'Recordando a Chile' captures Violeta Parra laying the foundational groundwork for the Nueva Canci贸n movement. The stripped-down acoustic sessions pair indigenous Andean instrumentation with fiercely political, deeply poetic lyricism that sought to elevate traditional Chilean folk to high art.
