The Hiram Clarke Hustler
by Viper
Self-produced and independently released, this album by the eccentric Houston rapper is a foundational artifact of the early cloud rap movement. Driven by incredibly lo-fi, woozy synthesizer loops and extremely lethargic, off-beat vocal deliveries detailing local street life, the record unintentionally bridges 1990s G-Funk with outsider internet aesthetics. It helped solidify his cult status shortly after his infamous breakout viral hit.
