Album Notes & Community Reviews
Released in 1971, 'Revelation' is the debut studio album by the German krautrock and psychedelic space rock band Virus. The record features wild, improvisational guitar and organ solos alongside driving rhythmic structures, oscillating between heavy cosmic blues and deep ambient throbs. Concluding with the expansive 'Nur Noch Zwei Lichtjahre,' the album firmly positions Virus within the experimental vanguard of early 70s German rock alongside acts like Ash Ra Tempel.
