Returning from a lengthy hiatus, Sasu Ripatti draws direct inspiration from the harsh, extreme environments of the Arctic tundra where he had recently relocated. The album completely abandons his earlier, dub-techno roots in favor of crushing, apocalyptic power noise and frantic, distorted percussion. It serves as a terrifying, visceral sonic representation of surviving against the brutal forces of nature.
