Album Notes & Community Reviews

Utilizing a highly unconventional large ensemble that includes an array of strings, woodwinds, and John Zorn on alto saxophone, the legendary trumpeter delivers an intensely complex avant-garde work. 'Lake Biwa' relies on heavily composed, dissonant structures that explode into manic, deeply textured free-jazz improvisations.
