Album Notes & Community Reviews

Originally recorded in 1974 but significantly revised for this release on John Zorn's Tzadik label, the acclaimed trumpeter revisits a key composition. 'Reflectativity' features an expanded ensemble interpreting Smith's unique, heavily structured approach to avant-garde jazz improvisation. The album demonstrates a more spacious, conceptually focused evolution of his early free jazz concepts.
