Album Notes & Community Reviews
Mitchell's second album continued the run of recited verse that began with his debut, delivered by a working ranch cowboy who had managed a 36,000-acre spread in Nevada. He had co-founded the first Elko Cowboy Poetry Gathering, an event that drew more than 2,000 people and became the annual center of the cowboy poetry revival.
