Somnambulists

Album Notes & Community Reviews

A landmark release in the Polish jazz movement, this collaboration pairs Wanda Warska's deeply expressive, whisper-like vocal phrasing with Andrzej Kurylewicz's sophisticated piano arrangements. The music possesses a distinctly European melancholy, operating freely under the relaxed cultural restrictions of the post-Stalinist era.
