Album Notes & Community Reviews
Released posthumously, 'Way Out Wardell' compiles vital late-forties bop sessions that highlight the tenor saxophonist's lithe, Lester Young-influenced tone. The tracks serve as an essential document of a brilliant, highly influential improviser whose career was tragically cut short.
