Decentertainment

Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Brooklyn trio of Ignacio Platas, Gregor Asch and Rich Panciera, recording as We, construct 'Decentertainment' from fractured drum and bass rhythms, dub basslines and dense layers of sampled urban texture. Asch, credited as DJ Olive, helped coin the term illbient for this strain of dark, collage-based ambient electronic music, and the album stands as a definitive statement of the Brooklyn variant of the style.
