Album Notes & Community Reviews

Bursting out of the fertile Scottish indie-rock scene, the young quartet's debut album is an incredibly passionate, anxiety-ridden masterclass in cinematic post-punk. Adam Thompson's thick vocal delivery belts intensely emotional lyrics over driving, propulsive rhythms and sweeping, delay-soaked guitar crescendos. The explosive energy of tracks like 'Quiet Little Voices' made the record a massive critical triumph of the 2009 indie landscape.
