Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Rat Saw God' merges the dissonant textures of 90s indie rock and shoegaze with the narrative traditions of alt-country, creating a sound defined by fuzzed-out guitars and prominent lap steel. Vocalist Karly Hartzman delivers unflinching lyrical vignettes of life in the American South, her delivery shifting from a somber drawl to raw, cathartic screams. The album's production balances this ragged, explosive energy with a more polished sonic weight, capturing the band's dynamic and emotionally potent performance.
