Album Notes & Community Reviews

Wes Montgomery's 'A Day in the Life' saw the jazz guitarist fully embracing pop instrumental covers under producer Creed Taylor's direction. Augmented by Don Sebesky's lush orchestrations, the album became a massive commercial success, drawing the ire of jazz purists. It remains a hallmark of 1960s easy listening and CTI's polished aesthetic.
