Album Notes & Community Reviews
Co-produced with Big Thief's James Krivchenia, 'An Inbuilt Fault' presents a much more organic, rhythm-driven sound for the British singer-songwriter. The album largely abandons Westerman's previous synthesizer-heavy approach in favor of intricate acoustic guitars, varied hand percussion, and elaborate vocal harmonies. The deeply introspective lyricism navigates themes of isolation and existential unease with a distinctly warm, sophisti-pop sensibility.
