Album Notes & Community Reviews
Propelled by massive singles like 'Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go' and 'Careless Whisper', 'Make It Big' cemented George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley as international pop superstars. The production smooths out the socially conscious posturing of their debut, pivoting toward a polished, Motown-indebted sound tailored for a global audience. The album鈥檚 immense commercial success played a pivotal role in the mid-80s British cultural invasion of the American charts.
