Album Notes & Community Reviews

Continuing the narrative and emotional shift started on 'The Valley,' 'Kin' sees Whitechapel further integrating clean vocals and acoustic passages into their deathcore foundation. The album is a deeply personal concept piece focusing on Phil Bozeman's traumatic childhood and family history. It is recognized for its high emotional stakes and for challenging the hyper-masculine tropes of the genre through vulnerable and melodic songwriting.
