Album Notes & Community Reviews
Released in distinctly different mixes for European and American markets, 'Slide It In' represents the definitive transition from the band's blues-rock origins into slick, arena-ready glam metal. David Coverdale's powerful vocal performances anchor tracks riddled with unabashed double entendres and soaring guitar leads. The American remix notably introduced guitarist John Sykes to the fold, setting the stage for their massive commercial breakthrough later in the decade.
