Album Notes & Community Reviews

The debut solo outing from the frantic, multi-instrumentalist sibling of Arcade Fire is a loose, remarkably energetic collection of brief indie-rock tracks. Recorded quickly in Jimi Hendrix's old living room studio (Electric Lady), the album eschews his main band's orchestral grandeur for jumpy piano-pop, punk rock energy, and humorous, narrative lyricism. It successfully captured his distinctly chaotic, live-wire performance style.
