Album Notes & Community Reviews

At the absolute height of 'Star Trek' mania, the iconic actor released this deeply eccentric, highly theatrical concept album juxtaposing classical literature with contemporary pop hits. Shatner's intense, staggered spoken-word delivery is backed by lush, psychedelic orchestrations, culminating in his legendarily unhinged renditions of 'Mr. Tambourine Man' and 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds'. It has endured as an infamous, deeply beloved monument of outsider pop-art.
