Album Notes & Community Reviews

Continuing his remarkably prolific run at Verve Records, percussionist Willie Bobo delivers another heavily rhythmic, immensely danceable set of Latin-soul fusion. 'Bobo Motion' perfectly captures the explosive energy of the boogaloo era, featuring tight horn stabs, deep bass grooves, and intensely syncopated timbales. It is a defining, highly infectious artifact of late-60s Latin crossover pop.
