Album Notes & Community Reviews

Stepping out briefly from his tenure with the notorious Geto Boys, the Houston rapper unleashed a ferociously angry, uncompromising solo effort. 'I'm Goin' Out Lika Soldier' pairs dark, bass-heavy Southern hip-hop production with deeply political, violently confrontational lyricism addressing systemic racism and street survival. The record stands as a defining, fiercely aggressive staple of the early 90s Texas rap underground.
