Album Notes & Community Reviews

Continuing his profoundly fruitful relationship with the FAME Studios session musicians, the intense vocalist delivered another absolute classic of gritty, driving Southern soul. Co-writing extensively with Bobby Womack, the record perfectly highlights his explosive, church-inflected vocal delivery set against impeccably tight, heavily rhythmic brass and guitar backing.
