Constructed from extensively manipulated live recordings that were radically reworked in the studio, this cryptic project blurs the line between a live album and a new studio effort. Wire fully embraces clinical electronic sequencing, submerging their angular post-punk tendencies beneath a slick, mechanized synthesizer sheen. The centerpiece, a mechanized, danceable rework of their classic 'Eardrum Buzz', became one of their highest-charting alternative hits.
