Album Notes & Community Reviews

Temporarily relocating to America and utilizing legendary producer Tom Dowd, the seminal British hard rock act opted for a noticeably softer, highly polished aesthetic. Introducing synthesizers and a pronounced blue-eyed soul undercurrent, the band largely moved away from their signature medieval themes and dueling twin-guitar epics. The record deeply divided fans with its mellow, radio-friendly pivot towards the impending yacht rock sound.
