Album Notes & Community Reviews

The self-titled debut by Swedish band Wolf is heavy metal in deliberately traditional form, its fast tempos, melodic guitar figures and retro structures opening with 'Electric Raga', the first song the band ever wrote, complete with sitar. Formed in 1995 by Niklas St氓lvind and Mikael Goding with drummer Daniel Bergkvist, the record was later associated with the new wave of traditional heavy metal.
