Album Notes & Community Reviews

James Toth's sprawling collective, Wooden Wand and The Vanishing Voice, delivered an incredibly chaotic, deeply surreal vision of avant-folk on 'Gipsy Freedom'. The album is highly improvisational, burying Toth's apocalyptic folk songwriting beneath layers of dissonant, psychedelic guitar noise and erratic, free-jazz percussion.
