Album Notes & Community Reviews

On 'Refractory Obdurate', David Eugene Edwards pushes Wovenhand into its heaviest territory yet, embracing a thunderous, post-punk driven sound. The album is a dense wall of driving rhythms and swirling guitars, over which Edwards delivers his sermon-like vocals with intense conviction. It bridges the gap between his alt-country roots and a darker, more aggressive rock energy.
